I joined New Britain Pediatric Group in 1983 as a Board Certified Pediatrician. I started out on a part time basis with two young children and then a third child, juggling family and pediatric practice responsibilities. It’s amazing to me that time has passed so quickly and I now have three adult children and have enjoyed many years of full time pediatric practice -getting to know many families over time and taking pleasure in the growth and healthy maturation of my patients.
Here’s a quick synopsis of the last many years! I graduated from Tufts University magna cum laude and received my M.D. from New York University School of Medicine. I was elected to A.O.A., the national medical students honor society. I completed all of my pediatric training at Jacobi Hospital/Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. I have been a Pediatric attending physician at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain General Campus (formerly known as New Britain General Hospital) since 1983. I am currently a Senior Attending Physician. I have served on several hospital committees at THOCC including The Child Abuse Committee (chair), Infection Control Committee, Pediatric Peer Review/Quality Assurance Committee (current), Ad Hoc Gastroenteritis Task Force (chair). In New Britain, I participate on the Immunization Committee, Health Advisory Committee and the Obesity Task Force. I have been a member of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics Breast Feeding Medicine Committee. I was named a “Top Pediatrician” by Connecticut magazine in 2005. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
